Funds Accountant

Organization: SGGG Fund Services Inc. (“SGGG”) is a growing Fund Services company that deals extensively with the “hedge fund” industry. We are currently growing our business into the mutual funds (retail), pooled funds, and offshore funds area.

A qualified individual will gain knowledge and experience in a very vital area of the Canadian financial industry. Responsibilities:

• To maintain the accounting records of a portfolio of clients (trades, expenses, accruals, etc.)
• To produce a daily, weekly, or monthly net asset value for each client in an accurate and timely manner
• To develop a professional and productive relationship with clients and coworkers
• To develop your industry and work knowledge in order to further your opportunities and growth
• To keep your supervisor informed of any and all issues that could hamper your ability to perform your assigned duties

Requirements:

• Minimum two years fund accounting experience, in a daily or monthly valuation environment
• Pursuing an accounting designation an asset (CGA, CMA, etc)
• Broker or other back office accounting experience an asset
• Fluent in both spoken and written English is a requirement. Knowledge in French is an asset.
